Manor House Hotel was built in 1878, and we have restored it to its former glory over the last couple of years, transforming it into a beautiful, welcoming, family-run hotel. Ideally located in Thurso town, the nearby Thurso river is very popular for salmon fishing and provides a lovely setting for your stay. We have an idyllic garden, perfect for relaxing on an evening with a glass of wine.

Manor House Hotel Thurso is located on the North Coast 500, making it a favourite amongst bikers looking to explore this famous route - we even have a secure lockup garage and private parking to keep your pride and joy safe while you stay! We even make a great stay over location for anyone attending the local livestock auction.

We have a variety of en-suite rooms, with a range of bed options to cater to all types of guest - ranging from singles and twin rooms right up to a family room that can sleep 2 adults and 3 kids.

Our new bar and restaurant is fully refurbished and now open for business - we have gone for a traditional, rustic feel with a modern twist which we are certain you will love. All food is locally sourced from around Caithness, and we have an excellent menu full of delicious meals to suit everyone.

Thurso and the surrounding areas makes a perfect countryside getaway, with some gorgeous walking routes in the hills and along the coast, closely situated to the Orkney ferry. We can even arrange to pick you up from the ferry or the nearby airport (by appointment).
